I don’t know how I went so long without this stuff. It’s magic. I wear it under Bare Escentuals, and it works like a dream. I have a fairly splotch complexion and use this only on problem areas (I know some who use it almost like a base foundation, but it’s too heavy for that in my opinion).
- This is not the kind of product you can leave open on the counter. You have to seal it tightly or it gets tacky.
- The color is kind of hard to match. I’d go into the store to have a professional help you choose the right one for you.
- You don’t need the brush they’ll try to sell you. You can apply it using light dabs with your finger to dot the area you want to cover. Then you can blend it all together.
- Don’t use too much. An amazingly small amount will get the job done.
Here is another review from one customer that typically has bags under her eyes…
I have rather extreme dark circles under my eyes. I’ve abandoned the eye creams because this concealer works so well. The amount needed to cover is extremely small. It does not look cakey the way other concealers do because so little is required to do a good job.
And finally this reviewer brings up a great point about the Amazing Concealer not having to be dabbed continuously to keep it from creeping into wrinkles…
I just started using it last week for under my eyes and I’m really pleased so far. I have tried a huge range of concealers. From drugstore level up to high-end ones like Cle de peau (I think $65 for concealer). I’ve also done the Laura Mercier secret camoflaugue, bobbi brown, Mally, Kevin Aucoin, etc. I was about to splurge for Le Mer but a friend turned me on to this one. So far, so good. It is definitely true that you need just a small amount, but the tube is kind of tiny. I applied tiny dots of it under my eye and then pressed it and blended lightly with fingertips. The product stays put and definitely give great coverage. It’s different from other concealers which eventually creep into fine lines and I’d look in the mirror and have to dab it back in with my fingertips. This barely does that at all. It lays flat and smooth without looking dry and matte. One downside is figuring out the color. I am not sure which stores carry it. The Sephoras in NYC didn’t seem to. I’d definitely recommend and have already told some girlfriends.
